Synopsis<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ann geht nie aus, denn sie wohnt gleich hinter dem Tresen ihres kleinen Pubs im irischen Athlone. Das Lokal ist wie eine B\u00fchne, auf der sie Abend f\u00fcr Abend ihre Rolle spielt. Alle kennen die \u00a0schlagfertige und tatkr\u00e4ftige Ann. Aber wer ist Ann wirklich? Die 55j\u00e4hrige Barfrau hat schwierige Zeiten durchlebt und steht heute manchmal noch auf wackligen F\u00fcssen. Doch davon l\u00e4sst sie sich ungern etwas anmerken. Viel lieber k\u00fcmmert sie sich mit Leib und Seele um das Wohlergehen der G\u00e4ste und das \u00dcberleben des Pubs. F\u00fcr die Stammg\u00e4ste ist das \u00abFlannery\u2019s\u00bb ein sicherer Hafen in den rauen Wogen des Lebens, w\u00e4hrend Ann in ihrer Aufgabe Halt und Ablenkung findet. Das Pub gibt ihrem Leben einen Sinn.

Ann never goes out, because she lives right behind the counter of her little pub in Athlone, Ireland. The pub is like a stage on which she plays her part night after night. Everyone knows the quick-witted and energetic Ann. But who is she really? The 55-year-old pub owner has gone through difficult times and sometimes still stands on shaky ground. But she doesn\u2019t like letting it show. Instead she much prefers putting her body and soul into looking after the well-being of her guests and the pub\u2019s survival. For the regulars, \u00abFlannery’s\u00bb is a safe haven in the rough seas of life, while Ann finds distraction and stability in her job. The pub gives her life meaning.<\/em>
